EuroCosplay Rules in pdf format

EuroCosplay strives to avoid onerous rules and restrictions and set itself apart by allowing qualifying events a great deal of freedom in how they make their selection so that the EuroCosplay Championships Finals display what each country feels makes for great cosplay. You can download a complete PDF version of the rules above; a summary of the key rules follows.

Participants must have made their own costume.
Finalists do not have to rewear the costume that they qualified in for the Final.
The MCM Expo Weapons and Props Rules must be abided by at the Final
Finalists must be aged 18 years old or over by the opening date of the event hosting the Final.
Events must select a registered citizen of the country the event is held in, or one from a neighbouring country not yet participating.

The Judges will be looking at many aspects of your cosplay ability. The Judges will be asked to consider the accuracy of the costume and the quality and complexity of its construction. When on stage the judges will asses a competitor’s stage presence and ability to ‘play’ their character.
Judging for EuroCosplay Championships Final will be weighted as follows:

Accuracy – 40%
Construction– 40%
Performance – 20%

The judges decisions are final, and no further negotiation will be entered into when the judges have made their decisions.
