London MCM Expo & the Eurogamer Network announce media partnership
London MCM Expo and the Eurogamer Network have announced a media partnership which will see the two companies working together on the events in May and October this year.
Eurogamer will host the event's 'Games Village', which will help increase attendance to over 30,000 per event by the end of the year, it is hoped.
"We are delighted to be working with Eurogamer and feel that the combination of MCM Expo's young entertainment based audience fits perfectly with both companies target audience, this partnership will help MCM Expo continue to grow in 2008," said a spokesperson for the event.
Eurogamer's editorial director, Kristan Reed, added: "I'm very pleased that we're partnering with such a key entertainment event here in the UK, and it's great that the Eurogamer brand is going to be associated with the Expo's videogames presence this year."
The two shows will take place on May 24-25 and October 25-26 at ExCel London

World of Warcraft Darkmoon Faire Coming to London MCM Expo!
We are pleased to confirm that the World Of Warcraft Darkmoon Faire has chosen the London MCM Expo this October as the only UK event to be partnered with.
Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) will be launching the UK leg of its World of Warcraft® Trading Card Game Darkmoon Faire™ tour in London on 20th & 21st October as part of London MCM Expo at ExCel London. This is an event for online gamers, Trading Card Gamers (TCG) and fans of the World of Warcraft universe.
Darkmoon Faire offers a wide variety of social activities for fans of both the World of Warcraft TCG and of Blizzard Entertainment®’s World of Warcraft universe.
TCG players can enter matches ranging from beginner, intermediate and advanced-level tournaments, to sealed, drafted and constructed tournaments. Community representatives from Blizzard Entertainment will be present to meet attendees, and World of Warcraft will be playable on computer stations at the event.
Top finishers in the Darkmoon Faire TCG Championship tournament will be awarded exciting prizes, from PC hardware to exclusive WoW items!
